Bengaluru TCS office receives fake bomb threat call
Bengaluru: The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) office in Bengaluru recently went through a bit of a scare when they received a bomb threat call. The Prappana Agrahara police promptly responded, bringing along a bomb detection squad to thoroughly search every nook and corner of the TCS premises. Fortunately, it turned out to be a false alarm, as reported by local media outlets.
According to sources, the threat originated from an ex-employee who had recently been let go from TCS. In an intoxicated state, she reached out to a cab driver, claiming that there was a bomb in the B block of the company’s premises. The police have confirmed the phone call between the ex-employee and the cab driver, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the woman, believed to be from Belagavi.
